The galleries listed to your left are selections of my images made in Austin, TX and New York City. They include work from the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park in February and September of 2007, professional headshots, and work done while earning a B.F.A. in Photography at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
The events I photographed in New York City include exhibition openings at an established Manhattan contemporary art gallery as well as a memorial service at the National Academy School of Fine Arts for a former faculty member, Mr. John Holpken. Images from these events were used for archival purposes. As the staff photographer for a Manhattan-based organization dedicated to preserving the works of a popular German composer, I photographed several musical performances by young musicians presented to raise funds for the project. These images were used for an online image gallery.
In addition to freelance work I taught a small photography class in a children's afterschool program. The class included lessons in basic photography methods and traditional black and white darkroom operation. I also worked as a photographic researcher for a Manhattan publishing company that produces educational books for young readers.
While enrolled at Pratt, I attended the Speos Photographic Institute in Paris, France, for workshops in Photojournalism and Portrait Photography in the Summer of 2002.
I grew up in Dallas and currently reside in Truro, Massachusetts.
